Welcome to Perranporth
Perranporth is one of North Cornwall's classic seaside resorts. It's famous for its epic beach – nearly a mile long, banked by grassy dunes, and an enduring favourite for surfers and wind-buggiers. With one main street lined by the usual greasy-spoon cafes, surf shops and souvenir stalls, the town itself has little to recommend – life here is all about the beach.
Perranporth was the home of author Winston Graham, who wrote the bestselling Poldark series of novels. A monument to him can be seen on the clifftops above Droskyn Point.
