Housed across the upper 24 floors of one of Shanghai’s most dramatic towers, the JW Marriott has marvellously appointed rooms with spectacular views, coffee-maker, and showers with hydraulic massage functions to soak away the stress.
Service and facilities are top class, with two pools (indoor and outdoor) and an excellent spa. Internet costs ¥120 a day for nonmembers (¥600 per week). Its library is in the Guinness World Records for the world's highest at 230.9m, but it's only accessible to executive-lounge members.
