LP Pathfinders: video of the month, May 2016
Every month, we curate the best blog posts and Instagrams from our Lonely Planet Pathfinders. Recently we launched a video post series, in the same vein, highlighting the best YouTube and Vimeo content from this community of travel hungry content creators.
This month’s feature: Esther and Jacob, from Local Adventurer. Their blog is based around their mission to move to and discover a brand new city each year.
The Wave – Local Adventurer
The visually rich, one minute portrait, ‘The Wave’, was shot by Esther and Jacob in Arizona. Its focus is the photogenic and vast landscape of swirling, striped slickrock in Coyote Buttes. Only 20 permits a day are granted for hikers to view this unique part of the USA, so to get access can be tricky. Esther and Jacob’s hope is that their footage acts as an immersive ‘virtual tour’ for those who aren’t fortunate enough to see it in the flesh.
Kudos to them on the quality of their slow-mo panning shots, and the absorbing soundtrack they’ve paired with it.
