Sri Venkateswara Temple

South Coast NSW

Bone-white and richly decorated with sculptures of Hindu deities, Helensburgh's temple is a rewarding detour on the drive between Wollongong and Royal National Park. Founded in 1985, the temple was sited here following ancient Hindu architectural principles: close to forest, fresh water and coast.

Take off your shoes to walk the grounds and peep inside the temple.
