A new camera app has been developed that has the unique facility to take out unwanted objects and people from holiday snaps.
Adobe’s new app – Monument Mode – employs an algorithm to analyse what is moving in a shot – and what isn’t. It can then easily and automatically cut out some or all of the moving parts, allowing users to keep the building or monument of interest in the frame.
The London Independent reports that the Adobe prototype of its new app is being demonstrated at the Max Conference which is taking place this week in San Francisco. The Independent says the demonstration at the conference proved that the procedure on the phone only took a few seconds to work. However, it added that the app required that the phone remains totally still, probably requiring it to be mounted on a tripod or a similar stable fixing.
