Because its 1910 building originally housed apartments, the Beresford has bigger-than-average rooms. Beyond the fancy lobby, well-kept rooms have a certain granny glamour and reasonable minibar prices. This is a respectable location just beyond the Tenderloin, but service can be perfunctory. The best rooms are junior and parlor suites, which have fridges and/or kitchens, Jacuzzi tubs and even bidets.
