Chumphon Gate

Nakhon Ratchasima (Khorat)

The city's only original gate left standing. It was a part of the city walls erected in 1656 by French technicians on the orders of King Narai (Ayuthaya). A replica section of the wall sits in the northeast corner of the moat.

This is the gate troops assembled at before heading out to battle.
