Sleeping in a four-poster bed in a transparent bubble seems like the ultimate escape, especially if you're surrounded by nature, and you'll be able to try it out for yourself when the Thurgau Bubble-Hotel opens in Switzerland this year.

The Bubble-Hotel is spread over four locations in Thurgau and it operates between March to October - the availability dates for each individual bubble varies. There are three permanent bubbles and one that changes location every two months. Each one has a double bed, two bedside tables, and a table with two stools and battery-powered lamps. Bed linen and towels are provided, and the bathroom and shower is within walking distance.

Guests staying at the Charterhouse Ittingen bubble overlook the vineyards on the Thur and are surrounded by beautiful nature. They also receive free admission to the Ittinger Museum and the Kunstmuseum Thurgau. Those at the BBZ Arenenberg bubble enjoy the view of the gardens and the Untersee, and can visit the neighbouring Napoleon Museum with its castle park.

The Garden Restaurant Gertau bubble is set far away from any hustle and bustle near the Sitter ferry. The Feierlenhof Altnau bubble offers beautiful orchards and wonderful views of Lake Constance, and the seasonal farmhouse kitchen will cook for you in the evening on request.

Thurgau Tourismus is operating the Bubble-Hotel along with its partner companies. Prices start from CHF190 (€162) per night and it includes breakfast and a rental bike per person. For further information or to book a stay, see here.
