Bequia is the Caribbean's best-kept secret and now it's easier to get to than ever. Part of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and often overlooked by neighbouring Mustique, this seven sq mile island of fewer than six thousand inhabitants embodies the Caribbean of yesterday. Soon there will be a new transportation option that makes the trip quicker and easier.

Starting on 12 December 2019, Bequia Beach Hotel will offer flights on Bequia Air, a new VIP transfer service from Barbados to Bequia. Previously, travellers had to book hopper flights, which often stopped on several islands and created an unnecessarily long flight. Available exclusively to hotel guests, the air service will offer reduced flight times, meet and greet services and ground transfers.

"Travel to Bequia is now more sought after than ever,” says Bequia Beach Hotel director Philip Mortstedt. “We are meeting this increased demand with the launch of our new VIP transfer service which offers travellers a luxurious and seamless journey.”

Once at the family-owned luxury property, visitors can unwind amid its nine acres of tropical gardens and in one of its fifty-eight accommodations including an Estate Villa, beachfront suites, Junior Plantation suites, six private villas and classic rooms. “Guests are invited to indulge in the Caribbean's finest fare at our signature restaurant Bagatelle or charter our Italian megayacht, Star of the Sea, for snorkelling adventures with a lush Grenadine backdrop,” Mortstedt says. “Bequia is one of the few islands in the Caribbean that is truly off the well-worn path of tourism, a well-kept secret amongst sailors and those in the know, with no traffic lights and no chain franchises, it’s the authentic Caribbean how it once was."

Rates for the VIP transfer package start at $649 per person round-trip or $399 one-way. The aircraft is also available for private flights on-demand, for Caribbean island-hoppers.
