If you love relaxing on a beach in style and maybe catch sight of a celebrity while you're there, you might want to look over to Italy’s Versilian Coast and to Andrea Bocelli’s new resort.

The Alpemare Beach Resort is located in Forte dei Marmi, a hotspot for summer social life loved by celebrities and artists since the first days of the 20th century, when you could see Edith Piaf and Luchino Visconti enjoying the sun and the waves of the Mediterranean Sea.

The Bocelli family has taken over the historical site and renovated it completely with a new sleek and chic design, and comforts their clients might want, including a small massage area, car service, and security protection. After its inauguration one year ago, the Alpemare Beach Resort is celebrating its first birthday this summer.

If you feel like lounging on a beach, you’ll find that the Alpemare doesn’t have beach umbrellas like most sea resorts do but instead offers its guests white tents to shield away from the Italian sun. Each tent also features USB charging ports and a Wi-Fi connection.

The Alpemare grounds also include a pine grove typical of the Mediterranean area, where guests can walk around or rest while enjoying a drink before or after a long day of sun. Monkey lamps created by Italian design company Seletti are half-hidden in the trees and make for a perfect feature on anyone’s social media feed.

The Resort also has a restaurant and a bar, which offers everything from breakfast to an aperitivo – if you’re lucky, you might even spot Andrea Bocelli himself, who likes to spend some of his free time relaxing at the Alpemare.
