This job’s for the dogs – literally. Back in January, the St. Regis Aspen Resort made history, welcoming the luxury chain’s first dog in residence, and last week, the property announced that the search was on for another first: a fur butler.

Since his winter arrival, Kitty Jacob Astor II, or ‘Kitty’, as he’s known, has become an integral part of the hotel’s team, helping with airport-pickups, hosting story-time, and providing quality cuddles around the clock. Now the St. Regis Aspen is looking for someone to administer its white-glove service to the rest of its visiting pups – and if you’re passionate about animals and love social media, it could be you.

In addition to managing the popular pup’s schedule, from daily walks with the guests to attending events on the property, the winning candidate will run the resort's pet program, coordinate its monthly Bark’n’Brews party, snap plenty of pics of Kitty’s day-to-day, run his social-media channels, and interact with his adoring fans.

According to a Facebook post advertising the full-time position, wannabe fur butlers should post a video or photo to Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #kittysfurbutler, showing why you’re the ideal candidate, then email your resume – along with your social handles – to kitty@stregis.com.

Of course, working with animals might not be for everyone, but these days there’s a dream job to suit practically any interest. Recent openings have included foodie-friendly gigs (think: official NBA, NFL, and barbecue rib-tasters) and sabbaticals sponsored by sustainable clothing companies and cold-brew specialists – even one that comes with an extended stay in a National Park. Maybe you’d prefer island-hopping in Greece, or hitting 40 countries in 12 months, with friends in tow? Throw your hat in the ring, and maybe you’ll get lucky.
