Pazo de Xelmírez

Palace in Santiago de Compostela

The Pazo de Xelmírez is the 12th-century bishop's palace adjoining the cathedral's north side. It hosts what are often very interesting temporary exhibitions related to the cathedral. The banquet hall is adorned with exquisite little wall busts depicting musicians, bakers, feasters, kings and jugglers. Admission is included with tickets for the Museo da Catedral or cathedral rooftop tour.
