Puro offers consistently excellent food and service in the upmarket Jardim Botânico neighborhood. Chef Pedro Siqueira’s menu features traditional Brazilian dishes that have been given modern updates. Head to the top floor for open-air views over the botanical gardens – it's a fine setting for dishes such as roasted lamb with rice, octopus and smoked pork belly, or oven-baked fish of the day.
In 2016 Siqueira opened his second restaurant, Massa, which specializes in pasta and gnocchi. Both restaurants are marked out by an attention to detail and commitment to high-quality ingredients that is rare outside Rio’s most expensive fine-dining establishments.
