With exposed bricks, timber beams and distressed walls, L-shaped Pilgrim is Hobart's hippest cafe. Expect wraps, panini and interesting mains (try the house black beans with pulled pork) and expertly prepared coffee. Fall into conversation with the locals at big shared tables. Down a laneway around the back is the Standard, a burger nook run by the same tattooed crew.
A fire in August 2018 gutted Pilgrim and it sadly closed, but there were plans for it to reopen; check the Facebook page for updates.
