A new report claims that 100,000 people may be suffering health problems because of the noise from aircraft taking off and landing at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. The number of flights using the airport has increased dramatically in recent years, coinciding with growing numbers of people living under the flightpath. At least 100 schools and hospitals are directly affected by noise pollution in neighbourhoods close to the airport. Read more: ekantipur.com
