Something interesting is happening Down Under. An Instagram account dedicated solely to sharing pictures of nude Australian people is garnering serious attention online, amassing nearly 88,000 followers since it began.

The getnakedaustralia Instagram account features a range of Australian people of all shapes and sizes in their natural state, who are often pictured while looking out over incredible and inspiring views in different regions of the country. The account has shared 650 posts to date, and seeks to promote a healthy body image through its content. It is run by Brendan Jones from Sydney, who started the page as a bit of fun. “On my hikes, I was always stripping off to feel the sun on my skin whenever I got to a secluded spot in the outdoors. I don't know why, it just felt natural. My friends and I started to take some photo's with great scenic backgrounds and our bare bums, and I thought, I should start a page for all these photos of our travels. The page was a hit and many people started sending in photo's from around Australia and the rest of the world. It just snowballed from there and has now become a huge craze,” he told Lonely Planet Travel News. The account includes an email address for submissions for people wishing to be featured on it.

The naked craze seems to be sweeping over other areas of the world, with London hosting naked nightclubs, restaurants and sun terraces, while Paris has debated the idea of introducing a dedicated nudist zone in the city.
