The Fraggle Rock television series might have stopped airing in 1987, but if you want to dive back into those childhood vibes you’ll be happy to know you can stay in the characters’ house inside a Cornish lighthouse.
The Sally Port Cottage is located inside St Anthony’s lighthouse in the Cornish town of St Mawes, not too far away from the region’s capital Truro. The lighthouse’s exteriors appeared in the opening credits of every Fraggle Rock episode, but the interior is definitely very different and sure to offer a “fantastic seaside retreat” for everyone.

The cottage sleeps four people and consists of a kitchen, sitting room and two bedrooms - the master bedroom and a twin one. There is also an observation deck and a patio to “make the most of the seaviews” no matter the weather conditions, and ensure that guests of the Sally Port Cottage can enjoy their time with “the rocks and the sea”.
There’s plenty of activity to do around the cottage as well, like cliff-side walks or visits into St Mawes or Truro. You should also note that St Anthony’s Lighthouse is still active, meaning that you might hear the foghorn going off - but earplugs are provided to all guests!
The minimum stay at the Sally Port Cottage is two nights, which means its starting price is £70 (€80) per person. No children under fourteen are allowed, as well as no pets. You can get more information about the property on the official website here.
