It’s hard to think of a figure with more widespread appeal than Dr. Seuss, and this fall, the iconic writer and illustrator’s creations will jump off the page and take the show on the road. Opening 26 October outside of Toronto before heading south for a cross-country American tour, “The Dr. Seuss Experience” is set to be an immersive deep-dive into the work of the man otherwise known as Theodore Geisel.

Tickets are on sale for the attraction, which will span 15,000 square-feet, arranged around a central, interconnected maze, buoyed by thousands of balloons and inspired by that graduation favorite, Oh the Places You’ll Go!. With themed rooms dedicated to Seussian favorites like The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who!The Lorax, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, the experience will launch fans into the locations of some classic stories—and delve into the social messages found in each one.

The experience is a partnership between Dr. Seuss Enterprises and Kilburn Live, the live-events division of entertainment company Kilburn Media. “Our entire team grew up reading Dr. Seuss, and we have watched our children grow up doing the same,” Kilburn CEO Mark Manuel said in a press release. “There was a lot of responsibility on our shoulders to represent this property properly.”

When the tour opens at Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, it will feature a Seuss-themed carousel and, of course, a store hawking the relevant merchandise. Stops in Seattle, Boston, and Houston have been scheduled, with more yet to come, and according to the organizers, elements based on different books will be introduced along the way.  Advanced ticket registration is now open.
