Galaxy's Edge may have dazzled us all this year, but fans of one classic Star Wars Disney ride will be delighted to hear that it will be getting a new update, inspired by the upcoming film, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

'Star Tours - The Adventure Continues' is a 3D flight simulator, and passengers who board the Starspeeder 1000 never know where in the galaxy their pilot C-3PO and navigator R2-D2 will take them. It first debuted at Disneyland back in 1987, and since then, the attraction has appeared at three other parks and has been updated with new and exciting destinations. Flights to Jakku, Crait and even Batuu have been added over the years, and those who board it are likely to meet many familiar faces along the way.

Disney has now announced that the ride will be updated again on December 20, adding places based on the newest film, The Rise of Skywalker, which is also released that day. While they haven't specified which places will be added, a teaser on the blog gives a hint. “In the trailers for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, you caught glimpses of the ocean moon Kef Bir,” writes Tom Fitzgerald. “All I can say at this point is that Starspeeders will be heading there soon!”

'Star Tours - The Adventure Continues' is located at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disney Resort.
