The California Coastal Commission decided yesterday to allow Sea World in San Diego to build bigger tanks for its marine animals – but banned the use of the tanks for breeding the killer whales that will be housed in them.

Animal rights groups welcomed the decision (which only applies to the company’s California operations) saying that it will ultimately lead to the park having no orcas when the present 11 die out. https://seaworld.com/ are unhappy about the outcome, saying that banning animals from breeding is inhumane.
