Airbnb has recently launched its newest Experiences portal, where you can browse through a wide variety of different activities you can take part in while visiting pretty much every corner of the world. And amongst these is the Bob Ross painting class experience.

Each class is led by a CRI, a “Certified Ross Instructor,” who will teach you everything you need to know about painting from the basics of how to hold a brush to colour theory. From there, you’ll be able to go on and create your own Bob Ross-style painting, capturing “happy trees and soft clouds, just like the master used to say.”

Bob Ross believed that there’s an artist in each of us, and to bring that artist out the classes will have oil paints and brushes and all other material ready for you to use –  all you need to worry about is wearing something you don’t mind getting paint on and maybe bring a snack or two, since lessons can range from two to six hours.

At the moment, Bob Ross painting lessons are available at a number of cities throughout the US, like Portland, Houston and Detroit. The price starts at around $40 per person. If you’d like to know more or maybe book your first lesson already, you can check out the official Airbnb page here.

May 16, 2024: We started the day at the Centro Ecuestre Los Caireles. There we met our hosts Miguel Angel and his brother Jesus, who own and run the farm. (Miguel Angel wore a black vest.) The Centro is a horse back riding school. We shot pics at their farm and then headed to the town of Consuegra. On the mountain overlooking the town, there is a castle and several windmills. We shot pics and video of Miguel Angel and Jesus riding around the windmills and the castle. This area is notable because it is where the fictional Don Quixote rode around in Miguel de Cervantes’ famous novel. Afterward, we returned back to El Centro where we filmed our hosts riding by grape vineyards and olive groves to the nearby Villafranca de los Caballeros lagoons.
