Kilmallock Abbey

County Limerick

A footbridge leads across the river from Kilmallock Museum to the atmospheric ruins of this 13th-century Dominican friary. Much of the arcaded cloister remains standing, as does the church tower, and in the choir stands the arched wall-tomb of the White Knight, Edmund John Fitzgibbon (1552–1608).
