Morosini Fountain

Fountain in Iraklio

Unfortunately, water no longer spurts from the four lions that make up this charming fountain, which is the most beloved Venetian vestige around town. Built in 1628 by Francesco Morosini, it once supplied Iraklio with fresh water. Flanked by bustling cafes and fast-food joints, it's a fun spot to spend an hour resting and people-watching.
