Basilique Notre Dame

Côte d’Opale

The Haute-Ville's minor basilica is locally referred to as a cathedral, although it's never held that status. Its towering 101m-high dome, visible from all over town, is an improbably tall Italianate structure built from 1827 to 1866. At 128m long, the vast, partly Romanesque crypt is believed to be the longest in France.
