Horne Lake Caves & Outdoor Centre

Vancouver Island

BC's best spelunking, a 45-minute drive from Parksville. Some caves are open to the public for self-exploration, though the excellent guided tours are recommended, ranging from family-friendly to extreme; book ahead for these. To get there, take Hwy 19 toward Courtenay, then take exit 75 and proceed for 12km on the gravel road; if you get lost en route give the outdoor center a call.
