If you’re dreaming of living like a royal after having binged the new season of The Crown of Netflix, then there’s a townhouse in London that might just be what you’re looking for.
The “A Royal Affair” initiative offers the possibility of living like a royal in the Earl of Fitzroy, a Georgian grade I-listed building looking out onto Fitzroy Square - right in London’s Camden neighbourhood. The townhouse was actually used as an exterior in season two of the Netflix royal hit, and now it’s open “for a taste of royal living”.

The initiative was created by Plum Guide, a London-based startup specialising in unique homestays. Those who decide to participate and spend some time in the Earl of Fitzroy can expect a personal butler, corgis, afternoon teas and lavish banquets. Guests can also opt to go for a horse-drawn carriage ride in Fitzroy Square or have etiquette workshops, as well as pick whatever they like from a collection of jewels to truly dress the part of royal.
Included in the experience there’s also a private tour of the State Rooms of Buckingham Palace, which are usually open to visitors for ten weeks during the summer. Some of the tour’s highlights include the Throne Room and the Ballroom, which is used for State Banquets and investitures.
The Earl of Fitzroy can house up to 12 guests and is open for bookings throughout December on a first-come-first-served basis. The minimum stay of a week starts from £50,000 or $64,000, and you can find all the information here.
