Treetop rooms always capture travellers' imagination, probably because of the quirky nature of the accommodation and the great views they offer of their surroundings. With that in mind, a new adventure trip that takes place in Sweden will see travellers spending seven nights in seven distinctive treetop accommodations in one location.

The “Seven Nights, Seven Rooms” itinerary has its base at the Treehotel in Luleå and is available from August to November. Each of the different treetop rooms is notable for its distinctive design and placement, and a stay in each one will be paired with activities and eating experiences linked to the room.

Guests will indulge in multi-course meals with wine pairings, learn about the local Sami culture, and experience all that the surrounding forest has to offer, including foraging, rejuvenating spa treatments, the Northern Lights and the star-filled Arctic sky.

The treetop accommodation adventure begins at the Dragonfly, with its rust-brown sheet metal exterior and wooden interior, which looks like an insect perched among the pine trees. The second night's stay, The Blue Cone,  is a red wooden structure in the trees accessed via a bridge from the nearby hillside. The third night's adventure takes place at The UFO, a spherical structure cast in durable composite material, which is preceded by a stargazing evening and gastronomy experience.

Mirrorcube is an unusual hide-out among the trees, disguised by mirrored walls that reflect the surroundings. Six panoramic windows bring the outdoors inside and offer a panoramic view of the forest. Another night will be spent at the camouflaged Bird’s Nest, a tangle of exterior branches with interior walls made of wood, accessed by a retractable staircase.

After a forest hike to search out local wildlife, views of the local countryside and berries to savor with fika around the campfire, the sixth night takes place at The Cabin, which comes with a rooftop terrace to admire the Arctic night sky.

On the final day, guests will enjoy a seven-course dinner made with local ingredients, inspired by each room, and will stay overnight in the 7th Room. The cabin itself sits high in the trees, and its panoramic windows show off the Lule River and skylights allow for inside viewing of the Northern Lights.
