The Nintendo Switch was made for gaming on the go, and now travelers will be able to test out the portable system for free at four major US airports, starting this week.
From February 13 to March 26, the company will bring its Nintendo Switch On the Go pop-up airport lounge to the west terminal of Dallas Love Field Airport, where, after security, gamers can sink into comfy chairs, charge their personal devices, and power up a demo. Titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario Party, and Tetris 99 are all on the menu, in handheld and TV modes, for Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite alike.

Then on February 17, additional lounges will open at Dulles International Airport’s concourse B, in Washington, DC; Seattle-Tacoma International Airport’s concourse C, and, in Chicago, O’Hare International Airport’s Terminal 1, through March 29.
After they’ve given their thumbs a workout, travelers who place an order for a new system right then and there will receive a free carrying case with their purchase; games and merchandise will also be available to buy. Even if you’re not in the market, you won’t walk away empty-handed – the company is giving away Nintendo Switch luggage-handle wraps and Target coupons to use on a future Nintendo purchase.
“Spending time with Nintendo games at our On The Go lounges will give people the opportunity to begin or end their journeys with a smile,” Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, said in a press release. “We hope travelers discover that Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite make great companions for their trips.”
