The prestigious King Suite of Belvoir Castle is available to book for the very first time on Airbnb for a unique and luxurious New Year’s Eve party. Belvoir Castle, built in the 11th century in Leicestershire, is the official residence of the dukes of Rutland – the family has lived in the castle since 1525.

The beautiful King Suite inside Belvoir Castle was once used exclusively by visiting members of the royal family and has been the setting for several period movies and series like The Crown and The Young Victoria.

This year the Duke and Duchess of Rutland have decided to open it to visitors and to have two guests share in their New Year’s celebrations, which include a traditional afternoon tea and a luxurious dinner. “The King Suite is a unique place with a rich history,” said the Duchess of Rutland in a statement. “I’m very happy to share it for the first time with Airbnb’s travellers.

Those who’ll spend the night of the 31 December here will live a truly unforgettable New Year’s Eve.” The King Suite will be available for three nights  31 December, 11 January and then 25 January, starting at £300. Bookings will open on 20 December on Airbnb’s page dedicated to Belvoir Castle here.
