A stylish new hotel has opened in Brazil that sees guests staying in chic rooms nestled amongst expansive gardens. Finished with stylish and modern touches throughout, the building even has a moving façade made of wood.

Called the Felissimo Exclusive Hotel, the accommodation is located on a hill 500 metres from the beach of Praia dos Amores, amidst a 5000-square-metre oasis between the cosmopolitan Balneário Camboriú and the port city of Itajaí. The hotel has 11 suites and one villa, as well as a sustainable hotel called Casa Verde Bravíssima.

All of the suites come with Bose bluetooth sound systems, Apple TVs, iPods with selected soundtracks featuring 2000 songs, and a line of sustainable vegan-friendly amenities. They also feature balconies and bathtubs. Guests receive a welcome drink at the entrance of the suite upon check in, as well as red apples and a welcome card and personalised Ipanema sandals. The hotel also has a heated pool, hot tub, sauna, library, small spa and bikes that can be borrowed to go exploring.

The highlight of the site is Casa Verde, the sustainable suite that has been designed with a giant movable cumaru wooden façade that can be opened or closed depending on the preferences of guests. The rooftop has also been transformed into a living garden to better help the building to blend into its surroundings and help lower the temperatures inside.

“Our inspiration was to make guests feel as if they were at their own beach house. We also aim to provide great service and meals with special care taken towards sustainability, vegan amenities, the reuse of rain water and zero waste,” a representative of Casa Verde Bravíssima told Lonely Planet.

More information on the accommodation is available from the official Felissimo Exclusive Hotel website.
