With flurries of fresh powder coating Colorado's venerable ski slopes, a new eco-friendly mountain lodge has landed at the summit of Breckenridge’s pristine pistes, billed as a social house for modern outdoor enthusiasts with the intention of putting adventure in the apres-ski experience.

Gravity Haus is situated at the base of Breckenridge’s Base 9, one of the most popular (and loftiest, at 13,000ft above sea level) ski destinations in the country, touting a slew adventure-oriented amenities, social programming and 60 rooms outfitted in green furnishings to appeal to the modern mountaineering community.

“Gravity Haus Breckenridge is for adventure travelers and athletes who want to play like a local, check-in and out of work with ease, train, and have healthy, smart, and eco-conscious choices that match their everyday lifestyle,” the hotel’s Chief Problem Solver, Elyse Kent, told Lonely Planet.

Along with its location at the base of Breck’s slopes, the lodge offers an expansive indoor fitness element called Dryland Sports, with small-group athletic-inspired classes (and a super trampoline) to optimize guests’ fitness off the slopes and prevent injuries, divvied up to focus on strength, speed and agility. Soothe sore muscles from days spent strapped into stiff ski boots at the hotel’s Japanese-inspired onsen with 4 hot tubs, a sauna and a cold bath; or slip into a compressing Normatec therapy cover to expedite recovery and decrease inflammation.

The hotel also hosts expert-guided group backcountry excursions to full-moon yoga sessions. In the vein of the digital nomad lifestyle, there is a coworking space to meet and mingle with fellow skiers who can blast out a round of emails in between black diamond runs.

Each of its 60 rooms are designed for how this adventuring clientele really travel, with layouts such as queen bunk beds, a king bed and twin bunk combination, four twin beds and classically, a king-only suite.

Not only can Gravity Haus lodgers step out the front door and hitch on a ski lift, but they are also conveniently within striking distance of Breck’s hottest breweries and gastropubs on Main Street. If you want to learn more about Gravity Haus, you can visit the official website here.
