The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear. That is, at least according to Buddy the Elf, Will Ferrell’s joyful and iconic character from the 2003 holiday classic. And with the season nearly upon us, one company has unveiled an elf-inspired room in the heart of New York City that looks perfect for getting into the spirit of things.

Announced by holiday resort company Club Wyndham, the one-bedroom suite features hundreds of paper snowflakes with popcorn garlands, golden ornaments, Buddy’s favourite toys and plenty of sugary treats to help guests channel their inner Elves. Available for reservations from December 2 – 26, the winter wonderland also has a front door dressed with an elf jacket, which then opens up to a living room kitted out in decorations.

Guests are greeted with a Lite Brite welcome message, jack-in-the-box toys under a tree, a colourful gift wrapped mural wall (complete with six-inch ribbon curls), while in the kitchen, ribbons cover the cabinets and full-size fridge that’s stocked with the four essential food groups of elves – candy, candy canes, candy corn and maple syrup. Families will have everything they need to prepare a Buddy the Elf-inspired meal, with treats that include spaghetti, marshmallows, chocolate sauce, Pop-Tarts, and rolls of cookie dough and litres of soda.

“Every detail of this Elf-inspired suite was designed to put families in awe from the moment they walk in,” said Noah Brodsky, chief brand officer for Wyndham Destinations. “Visiting New York City during the holidays is at the top of many travellers’ bucket list, and Club Wyndham wants to help our owners check that list off in a spectacular way.  We think there’s no better way to do it than to get families immersed into Buddy the Elf’s whimsical Christmas world.”
