After meeting at the designated meeting point on Carlsbad Village Drive at least 15 minutes prior to your 1pm start time, you'll be fitted for an electric bicycle and helmet. Then, you will be trained on how to use the bike. When the small group is all set, you'll be on your way cycling through the sunshine in beautiful Carlsbad.The tour takes approximately 45 minutes each way; however, the pace will be based on the group. Your guide will share fun California facts while taking you along the breathtaking bike routes of Highway 101. You may see dolphins or whales along the way while viewing the ocean. We will stop at a look-out point for 5 - 10 minutes to snap a photo or two and admire the view high above the cliffs. There is a restroom facility nearby while en-route.Travel through the quaint towns of Leucadia and Encinitas where you will pass funky shops, local cafes, coffee houses, and beautiful Eucalyptus trees planted in the 1880’s. Pick up your bikes, helmet and locks at Pedego Carlsbad located at 2978 Carlsbad Blvd.  We are located below Sun Diego Retail store in the historic blue building.  You will receive training and get directions on places you can go on this self guided tour.  You have many options. You can stop for a bite to eat, shop or just enjoy the 3 hour ride.  You can head south where the bike path is a straight shot for appxomiately 6 miles and the road parallels the beach.  Then you will travel through the quaint towns of Leucadia and Encinitas where you will pass funky shops, local cafes, coffee houses and even beautiful Eucalyptus trees planted in the 1880’s.  If time allows take an enchanting stroll through the Self Realization Gardens; featuring streaming brooks, gentle waterfalls, koi ponds where the fish will greet you with warmth, rolling paths with a variety of indigenous plants and breathtaking cliffs.
