Piccolo Teatro Grassi

Duomo & San Babila

This risk-taking little repertory theatre was opened in 1947 by Paolo Grassi and theatre director Giorgio Strehler, who then embarked on a nationwide movement of avant-garde productions and Commedia dell’Arte revivals. Additional programming, including ballet, goes on at sibling space, Teatro Strehler.
