A cooperative of 42 families in Salawas runs the Roopraj Dhurry Udyog, through which all profits go to the artisans. A 3ft by 5ft dhurrie costs a minimum of ₹5000, a price based on two weavers working several hours a day, plus shipping costs. Other families are involved in block-printing.
