The broad, 2.5km beach of Portstewart Strand is a 20-minute walk south of the center along a coastal path, or a short bus ride along Strand Rd. Parking is allowed on the firm sand, which can accommodate over 1000 cars (open year-round, £6.50 per car from Easter to October).
