Welcome to Bathsheba South to Christ Church Parish
Few people take the time to follow the coast south of Bathsheba. They should. The road curves around hillsides above the rugged Atlantic, passing tiny villages populated by friendly locals who eke out a living from the sea. This is another Barbados, far removed from the glitzy resorts of the west, a place where tradition is still strong and nature remains wild.
The road runs south from Bathsheba along the Atlantic past Martin's Bay and Bath before turning inland through cane fields. Look for the iconic Anglican St Philip Church from where, if you turn south, you'll reach the historic Sunbury Plantation House. Continuing south will take you to the busy village of Six Cross Roads, where your route options live up to the promise of the name. You can head southeast to Crane Beach, southwest to Oistins or west to Bridgetown.
