Luján is a small riverside town that famously overflows several times per year as pilgrims make their way here to visit Argentina’s most important shrine. It boasts a huge Spanish-style plaza with an imposing neo-Gothic cathedral, as well as a couple of interesting museums. The riverside area is lined with restaurants and barbecue stands selling choripán (a spicy pork sausage in a crunchy roll).
