San Antonio de Areco and Lujan Day Trip from Buenos Aires

After an early start, head to the picturesque village of San Antonio de Areco, with its many workshops in charming little streets. On the edge of the village is the river Areco, which you will cross to go to the Ricardo Güiraldes Musuem, giving you a sample of gaucho life. This is the ideal place to enjoy a parilla with succulent Argentinian meat in one of the small restaurants which offer meals at reasonable prices. On the way back, take another route and stop over in Lujan to visit the spectacular Basilica of Lujan, a phenomenal piece of architecture pointing at the skies in the middle of the Pampas. Enjoy a wonderful day out with a difference, and a good rest, away from the noise and agitation of Buenos Aires.

Horseback Riding And Countryside Day

After being picked up from your hotel in the center of Buenos Aires, ride on a comfortable minivan van equipped with air conditioning and heating for an hour journey to Lujan. Passing Lujan, discover its famous Red Cathedral and head towards Carlos Keen Village, where the Estancia is. On your arrival, be welcomed by the Gaucho who will give you a tour of the Estancia and get to know the animals that inhabit it.  Meet the well-kept Criollo horse, a breed favored throughout the plains for its meekness and proven resilience. Your horse will be carefully selected to make sure you enjoy the ride. Then, go for a 2 hours horseback ride withing the countryside, accompanied by a gaucho who will help you if you need some advice. Back to the Estancia, enjoy an exquisite asado, made of the best cut of Argentinian meat (Pork, beef, sausages etc), and take a break to enjoy life in  the countryside. In the afternoon, choose whether to go on an other horseback ride  or to stay at the estancia, where you can play ball, relax on a chair and read, enjoy the swimming pool during summer etc. Around 5 p.m., you will be taken back to your hotel in Buenos Aires city center.
