Ardahan Kalesi

Far Northeast

Climbing a rocky cliff just across the Kura River from the city centre, the crenellated grey-stone walls of the 16th-century Ardahan Castle are extensive and fairly complete but not raised high enough to create an especially memorable scene. There is a park inside.
