Perched on a hill with views of the valley below, alfresco KentiKafé serves gourmet coffee, homemade cakes and sandwiches with avocado and local cheese. The surrounding garden is visited by 17 hummingbird species – including the Marvelous Spatuletail Hummingbird. It's just a short stroll across the street from Museo Leimebamba.
The cafe maintains about a dozen feeders through which the local hummingbirds drink some 5kg of sugar per day. You can lie in wait for glimpses of the spatuletail while sipping your espresso.
