Architects in Kazakhstan’s largest city, Almaty have announced plans to build an apartment block with a ski slope for its roof.
The ‘House Slalom’ is designed to take advantage of Almaty’s cold winters with a 326m piste descending in a spiral from the roof to ground level. In addition to being a generally awesome alternative to riding in a lift, organisers hope the slope will fill a gap in places to ski in the area. Read more: inform.kz
