St James Santee Parish Church

Lowcountry

In a secluded spot within Francis Marion National Forest sits this lovely brick church. It was built in 1768 for the French Huguenots and is very well preserved. Getting there on the sandy road through the woods is half the fun. Beware of the dog in the yard.
