The Jaffa

Tel Aviv

A major luxury hotel that opened in 2018, the Jaffa is housed in the 19th-century French Hospital, which has been redesigned by renowned architect John Pawson. Comprising 120 rooms with arched windows, lofty ceilings and king-sized beds, it also has a spa, large rooftop garden and a chapel transformed into an atmospheric bar with stained-glass windows.

In a different league to other hotels in the area, it represents the gentrified Jaffa and is either loved or loathed by locals who grew up in Jaffa.
