Erfo Temple

China

The Erfo Temple is divided in two, with a less interesting upper temple (¥10) and the main lower temple, where you'll find a vast Buddha sculpture dating to the Tang and Song dynasties and one of the largest in Sichuan (the temple name, Second Buddha, refers to the fact that it is smaller than the Leshan Buddha, which is number one). At the time of writing, the statue was closed for restoration.
