Edithburgh Museum

Yorke Peninsula

In an old stone shopfront a few hundred metres from the town jetty (where, the 1920s, salt exports made Edithburgh the third-busiest port in South Australia), this quaint historical collection includes interesting of old salt-haulage mechanisms, shipwreck stories and sundry domestic knick-knackery. Old shipping photos show what a thriving port this snoozy little town once was.
