This museum's collection focuses on homesteading and agricultural history, with stories about the pioneers who basically waltzed right past Heppner and only later decided to backtrack and see what they could make of it – one of the less frequently told tales of the Oregon Trail. Displays also cover Native American history and the 1903 Heppner flood that killed 247 people and is still one of the deadliest disasters to happen in Oregon.
