5 Day Garden Route Tour

Day 1, we depart at about 08h00 from your hotel in Cape Town and head north via the Du Toit’s Kloof Mountain pass on our first League of the journey. Cape Town to Oudtshoorn the Ostrich capital.The R62 known as the longest wine route in the world takes us through the beautiful towns of Robertson, Montagu and Ladysmith. En-route we stop for some wine tasting and lunch. The journey takes us through the Little Karoo where you will observe the scenery changing from lush greens to brown semi-desert areas making this a day of surprises. Oudtshoorn is the commercial hub of the Klein Karoo and the ostrich capital of the world. Here ostriches are found in great numbers and the region produces the best feathers, leather products and ostrich meat worldwide.We visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch to learn more about crocodile, cheetah, reptiles and the other animals onsite, with a chance to view cheetah, tiger, lion, puma, and jaguar. After breakfast we visit the world famous Cango Caves where we take a guided tour full of fascinating things to see.From the Caves we travel to an Ostrich farm on the other end of Oudtshoorn. The region stretches from the Bloukrans River in the west to Eerste Rivier in the east, is bordered on the north by the imposing Tsitsikamma Mountains and in the south by the Indian Ocean. Arguably the most beautiful part of the Garden Route in South Africa, Nature’s Valley is unique in that it lies nestled in the Tsitsikamma National Park coastal forest, – the only residential area within a South African National Park. Southern Cape Bushbuck, Bushpigs, and wild birds can frequently be seen in the gardens of Nature’s Valley village. The area is covered in large tracts of indigenous forest, commercial plantation and Fynbos.  Day 4,  after a breakfast we visit Knysna heads and spend some free time at the Knysna waterfront. Later we will make our way to Mossel Bay where we visit the Post Office Tree and Diaz museum where early pioneers left mail for the homebound ships to Europe. Late, we return to our Hotel. Day 5, the last day of your tour you will visit Knysna heads and spend some free time at the Knysna waterfront. Later we will make our way to Mossel Bay where we visit the Post Office Tree and Diaz museum where early pioneers left mail for the homebound ships to Europe. We travel via the rolling hills off Swellendam en-route to Cape Town to arrive in Cape Town at about 17h00.

4 Day Cape to Addo Safari Tour

Day 1 ǀ Cape Town to Oudtshoorn Little Karoo, Cango Caves, Wildlife Rehabilitation Ranch (D)We leave the Mother City behind and head into the semi-arid Little Karoo along the scenic Route 62 driving to the town of Oudtshoorn, known as the ostrich capital of the world. Choose between:1. The Cango Caves which is a world heritage site and one of the great wonders of the natural world.2. Guided tour of the Cango Endangered Wildlife Ranch for an opportunity to cage dive with crocodiles* (optional activity) and view and learn about many rare and endangered animal species.We then head over to the beach town of Sedgefield where we spend our first night.* Accommodation: Cape to Addo Backpacker dorm, Sedgefield Day 2 ǀ Sedgefield – Jeffrey’s Bay Monkey Sanctuary, Elephant Sanctuary, Kloofing, Bloukrans Bungee & Tsitsikamma National Park (B/ D)This morning we drive through Knysna on our way to the Crags where you have a number of options to choose from:1. Elephant Sanctuary where you learn about orphaned elephants2. Monkey Sanctuary where rescued monkeys roam free in a large jungle area* (optional activity).Our next stop is the World’s highest commercial Bungee Jump at 216 meters where you have the opportunity to experience this adrenalin pumping activity* (optional activity). To end the day we take a beautiful walk through the indigenous Tsitsikamma National Park to the Storms river swing bridges before we head to the famous surfing town of Jeffreys Bay.* Accommodation: Island Vibe Backpacker dorm, Jeffrey's Bay Day 3 ǀ Jeffrey’s Bay – Addo National Park – Sedgefield Game Drive (Addo), Surfing, shopping time (Jeffrey’s bay) (B/ D)There are 2 options to choose:1. Sleep in and take some time exploring the towns many surf factory shops, or go for a surf lesson in one of the most famous surf spots on earth.2. Wake up early and head to Addo Elephant National park where we go on a morning game drive to view the multitudes of wild animals.We then take a relaxed drive back towards Sedgefield for the night. If there is time available we will visit the famous Knysna Heads for some absolutely amazing pictures.* Accommodation: Cape to Addo Backpacker dorm, Sedgefield Day 4 ǀ Sedgefield to Cape Town: Return to Cape Town via Sir Lowry’s Pass (B)After breakfast overlooking the ocean in Sedgefield, we start our journey back to Cape Town. For our first stop we will enjoy canoeing down a tranquil river, followed by a short hike to a stunning waterfall. We then visit an Aloe factory in Albertinia and enjoy a wonderful scenic drive via Swellendam and Sir Lowry’s Pass. We arrive in Cape Town late Thursday afternoon.
