Eagle Stone

East Coast

The Eagle Stone is well worth a look. It’s a pre-7th-century Pictish stone connected to a figure from local history – the Brahan Seer, who predicted many future events. The impressive carved eagle is topped by an arc dotted with symbols. It's a short, well-signposted stroll from the centre of town.
