Guildford Hotel

Top choice in West Coast Australia

The ornate Guildford Hotel reopened in 2016 after a 2008 fire, and the flash makeover is still looking great. Smart design choices have retained many historic features, but the vibe is entirely contemporary. Local beers and wines rule the garden-bar roost, while meals in the sunny, brick-lined interior include smoked barbecue meats and bang-up burgers.

It's definitely worth the 15-minute hop on the Midland line from Perth Station.
