Hat Patong

Shaped like a ship's hull, this beautiful, quirky dining room and cocktail bar is one of Patong's most original restaurants, with white leather, faux-faded tables, floaty fabrics, burning lanterns and neon lighting. The creative Thai-Mediterranean food is good, though service can be erratic. Try avocado-and-crabmeat salad, watermelon carpaccio, seafood risotto and macaroni-cheese 'lollipops'. It's 750m north of Patong's northern end.
